Dr. Xian C. Li has been the guest editor of the special issue on Immunobiology and Transplantation Research.
Xian C. Li
Dr. Xian C. Li is a professor of surgery and director of Center for Immunobiology and Transplantation Research at Houston Methodist Hospital and Texas Medical Center in Houston Texas. He served as deputy director of the Transplant Research Center at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, before joining the Houston Methodist Hospital, which is a Cornell affiliate. He is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation. His research interest is related to the fundamental mechanisms of transplant rejection and immune tolerance.
Dr. Yong-Ming Yao has been the guest editor of the special issue on Sepsis.
Dr. Yong-Ming Yao is a professor and director of Trauma Research Center, First Hospital Affiliated to the Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing. He is a council member of International Federation of Shock Societies, and an international advisory council member of European Shock Society. Now, he is the Chairman of Chinese Microbiological Toxins Society, the Vice-Chairman of Chinese Shock Society, and the Vice-Chairman of Chinese Society for Emergency & Resuscitation, etc. His research specialization was focused on host immune dysfunction and its potential regulation pathway in shock, sepsis, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome after major trauma and burns.
Dr. Luigi Ambrosio has been the guest editor of the special issue on Biomaterials Research.
Dr. Luigi Ambrosio is a professor and director of the Institute for Composite and Biomedical Materials, National Research Council, and adjunct professor of biomaterials at University of Naples Federico II. He is president of the Interdisciplinary Biomaterials Group of the Italian Chemical Society and Academician of American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, Academician of Biomaterials Science and Engineering Institute, and former president of the European Society for Biomaterials. His research interests include design, characterization and processing of polymers and composites for medical applications and tissue engineering.
Dr. Yi-Xin Zhang has been a guest editor and solicited articles on Reconstruction.
Dr. Yi-Xin Zhang is a professor of plastic surgery, chief of the Division of Reconstructive Microsurgery and assistant director of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine. He is the deputy secretary-general of Chinese Society of Reconstructive and Reparative Surgery, vice president of Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Reconstructive Microsurgery, member of World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgeons and member of American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. His research interest is related to plastic and reconstructive surgery.
